Southside Super is a bit of a hidden gem. Its a small somewhat unassuming spot. A few plastic tables and chairs on the sidewalk help you know you have found it. Inside is a tight spot with a long counter that looks right into the kitchen. There are a couple tables inside as well. Squeeze your way past everyone to get to the back where you place your order. Choose from a variety of Korean and Vietnamese dishes. They also have a little shelf loaded up with pre-made take out items like kimbap, some Korean style mixed lunch plates and "Commoners Rice". All the food here is really tasty and prepared with care and attention to flavor and fresh ingredients. I see some complaints that the pho is served "complete" unlike other places that give you condiments and sauces on the side to customize as you want. I personally don't feel like it needs anything but a few of the pickled jalapeños they have on the tables. While I typically go for pho for breakfast (they open at 9 on the weekend), the "Commoner's Rice" and the Bahn Mi Xiu Mai (Viet meatballs with tomato sauce) are also very very good. My advice is go early, cuz they sell out of items!

Absolutely delicious. Cute place, friendly staff, great environment, and AMAZING food. Each dish has unique and deep, balanced, complex flavor. Tucked an extra napkin over my shirt like a bib and finished every bite. Fresh and well-prepared. Sit at the counter if you can.

Love this place! Food is always amazing. The people are super sweet and friendly and service is outstanding. Really small place, with limited seating indoors and a few tables outside. Lots of options for grab and go too. Egg salad sandwich is delicious. I love the lemongrass pork noodle salad! The menu is small but everything is delicious!

Very small place, service is order and pay before you eat. They have hot cold food prepackaged to go or eat there. Food seems a little pricey, the Galbi Jjim I got was a little too sweet for my taste, it would fit someone who likes to eat food on the sweeter side. Although the kimchi did help offset the sweetness, I would’ve liked more. The little rice cakes with the rice makes this dish loaded with carbs, My wife’s pho was surprisingly good. The portion is a bit small for the price, but it was good. Overall, I would not go back, but it’s not because of their food or price, it just doesn’t hit my taste.

Delicious food both ready to grab and made to order. The place is so cute. They really made the most out of a small space and made it cozy and special. You can watch them make all your food right in front of you and everything has been so good. I highly recommend.
